The Advanced Conversion annular form factor winding technology is well known for enabling optimal DC link sizing for industry-leading performance with long life and ESR in the range of 100 micro-Ohms.

However, the round shape can be a challenge to implement. Therefore, we have designed a family of complete DC Link/Busbar integrated systems that not only demonstrate the optimal connection approach to various modules but fit conveniently next to them in size and height.
This makes layout easy for tests or final inverter design.

These kits provide an ESL as low as 6nH and support inverter power levels of up to 300kW peak.

We offer an easy-to-implement and optimized DC Link solutions for a variety of switch modules (Si or SiC). They have typically been co-developed with the module supplier design teams.

Voltages range from 500V to 1200V DC Link (continuous) and they match perfectly with the connection requirements of the switch implementation. Thermocouple configured options are also available so you can validate your system parameters and better predict life.

We have DC link kits available for the Cissoid IPM™ and Hitachi RoadPak™ modules, with more module-specific test kits on the way. Most are available in stock either direct from Advanced Conversion or through one of our distributors

Custom implementations to support any modules are always available with minimal NRE and MOQ.

FAQs

What is the highest voltage rating for these test kits?

900 V continuous which matches nicely with 1200 V switch modules.

The peak current is highly dependent on the cooling management of the AC and DC on the busbar. When optimized 100 A peak is possible wihtout damage.

The test kits are designed to be a perfect fit with the switch module. Only fasteners (not supplied) are required.

Yes, however the peak and continuous current will not be maximized.

Changes can always be made to accomodate specific customer needs. There will be a price impact, NRE, and typically a MOQ of 10 pieces. Please contact our applications team to discuss your ideas.
