Advanced Conversion’s optimized capacitor solutions are ideal for High Voltage Converter systems where the ripple current is high and constant and the cooling is either challenging or expensive or both.  With an industry trend towards Silicon Carbide switch module systems, the high-frequency ripple current is even more of a challenge. The design goal is to allow the SiC to switch at maximum efficiency and our team has designed many systems to do that.  Systems ranging from 900 – 4800V DC-Link ratings have all been implemented. We work closely with the switch module vendors to optimize packaging and we are well versed in the design trade-offs needed for performance, weight, cost, and initial validation part lead time. We also know how to get the best possible loop inductance out of virtually all of the available industry packages.
