Advanced Conversion and W. L. Gore & Associates have partnered to provide the Oil & Gas, and Geothermal Industries with a robust film capacitor solution for Drilling and Measurements Down Hole.

This high temperature solution is tested and qualified up to 200°C with demonstrated life over 1000 hours at 400V. These film capacitors are also highly resistant to shock and vibration, perfect to reduce failures and lower maintenance costs on your next or re-designed harsh environment application.

Gore developed their unique film and validated it with industry leaders. Now they have transferred the production responsibility over to Advanced Conversion. Please see their Gore Product Integrity Sheet for more information.

While the initial qualification of production was performed at 175°C to match up with typical “down hole” requirements, more information is available about 200°C lifetime and important conditions. We are stocking versions of our 400V capacitors with values from 25μF – 100μF for customer qualification.

Advanced Conversion is also collaborating with Gore on a 600V version of these parts. Samples are available while our on-going qualification work is occurring. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more or would like to purchase some qualification samples.

In addition, all of these high temperature capacitor solutions are available in our Power Ring form factor which gives the highest capacitor density and flexibility for routing cables or fluid pipes through the center.
