Convenient Universal Bus to Connect to your Switch Module

Advanced Conversion provides convenient Universal Buses that allow the design engineer to select a standard Power Ring for their DC Link (capacitance and voltage) and easily connect it to their a desired switch module.

It’s always a challenge at the initial design stage to test the switch module performance with various gate driver and DC Link options.

The Universal buses enable a fast setup for bench testing.

    1. Decide what continuous operating bus voltage you will be using.
    2. Scroll through the Standard Power Ring DC Link products and select the appropriate capacitance size and voltage.
    3. Lastly, match the Standard product spec selected with the switch modules listed on the page below.
    4. You need to order the DC Link capacitor and the Universal Bus separately. The combination is predesigned to bolt together easily.

We are continually working with the switch module suppliers to add more Universal Bus options to our list. Additionally, custom busbar solutions that connect to our standard capacitors are available with minimal NRE and MOQ.

How do I pick the right busbar for my DC Link capacitor?

First select your DC Link. Then see which busbar matches that with your switch module choice.

The matched DC Link busbar will operate to maximum voltage and current for that selection.

Reach out to your applications team. We may have your combination in development or could customize something for you.

The MOQ for any standard listed busbar is 1. Custom busbars can have a MOQ of 10.
